About the Job

We are currently seeking a Demand Side Management (DSM) Programs Process Evaluation Analyst. Work location to be either at our Toronto, Canada office, or at one of our USA offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support services for the Strategy and Planning Group within Resource Innovations Utility Services business unit, and will work on energy efficiency program planning, delivery and evaluation with a focus on process evaluation and analysis support.

Specific responsibilities will include supporting: defining the scope of work for process evaluation studies, the development of process evaluation surveys and in-depth interview (IDI) guides, fielding survey, conducting IDIs, conducting research, data analysis, net-to-gross analyses, reporting, and other related tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analysis support: development of surveys and IDI guides, data collection through surveys and IDIs, data analyses, DSM program analysis to support process evaluation, etc.
  • Conduct primary and secondary data collection efforts as well as data analysis.
  • Support and assist with input for report writings; contribute to draft reports, including results and actionable recommendations.
  • Support senior staff with development of presentations, papers and proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e. social science, environmental science with a focus on energy efficiency / energy management, or engineering).
  • Preferably 1+years of experience in process evaluation in an energy-related field, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Qualtrics survey programming.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • An understanding of energy efficiency program processes, theory logic models, program process flow diagrams, customer journey maps, net-to-gross analyses, energy end uses, energy efficiency market, and energy efficiency technologies.
  • Experience in developing and fielding mixed-mode surveys (web, mail and telephone based), and developing IDI guides and conducting IDIs with program administrators, program implementers, contractors, market actors and participants.
  • Experience preparing draft reports detailing analytical findings.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and computer skills are mandatory.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
