Description
Ameresco is currently seeking an Operations Manager based in San Antonio, TX to support Federal Operations and Maintenance projects on the West Coast.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically identify, target, and pre-qualify prospects for the development of Operations and Maintenance contracts within the site;
  • Formulate successful strategies to increase development activities and ensure annual goals are attained;
  • Develop cost proposals in addition to realistic and accurate planning;
  • Assume overall responsibility for the development of preliminary and final project quotations and proposals;
  • Serve as key point of contact with Ameresco regional sales, customers, lead presentations, and cultivate positive, effective business relationships;
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the entire proposal, quotation, and contract terms;
  • Coordinate the implementation interface with project management and customer support teams;
  • Maintain proficient and current computer and software application skills;
  • Monitor and evaluate all issued requests for proposals (RFP) for Service, Operations, and Maintenance;
  • Manage O&M regional projects as required;
  • Assemble and manage the correct team to respond to pre-qualified RFPs;
  • Consistently meet RFP requirements and customer needs;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with select agencies; and
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • BS degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's level degree; will accept a High School diploma or G.E.D in addition to 4 years of work-related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in Operations and Maintenance at a management level.

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience in the fields of MEP and HVAC preferred.
  • Experience with OSHA requirements and safety-related training preferred.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and executing complicated preventative maintenance programs preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in Computerized Maintenance and Management systems (CMMS) preferred.
  • Government, State, and municipal contracting experience including background and knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes of contract administration, knowledge of relevant laws, FAR regulations, terms and conditions, and policies governing contracts preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple employees, sites, and subcontractors preferred.
  • Experience with management and morale of a technical workforce preferred.
