Description

POSITION SCOPE:

Under minimal supervision, is responsible for planning, analysis and evaluation of IPL's cost-effective DSM, Electrification, and other customer programs.  Position will also coordinate and manage launch of AES Indiana's new load curtailment program.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Math, Business Administration or related field from an accredited college/university

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Knowledge of integrated electric utility operations

- Three (3) years of recent verifiable experience in Demand Side Management (DSM) including energy efficiency and demand response and/or electrification program design or implementation

- Experience performing cost effectiveness analysis of customer programs

- In depth knowledge and understanding of DSM Programs

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish and implement efficient business processes

- Excellent written and oral communication skills required

- Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, and DSMore software

- Self-starter and ability to function with a minimum of supervision

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Lead planning and analysis effort for AES Indiana's DSM and other customer programs

*Develop requests for proposals and select & manage the work of planning / evaluation / market research contractors

*Plan and manage launch of AES Indiana load curtailment program for C&I customers

*Manage evaluation, measurement, and verification (EM&V) efforts for AES Indiana's DSM, Electrification, and other customer programs

* Manage AES Indiana's DSM tracking system; assure tracking system is in line with EM&V results

* Work with regulatory and accounting staff to track lost margin from DSM and ensure calculations align with evaluation data

* Coordinate cost effectiveness for DSM and Electrification programs and portfolios

* Represent the Company concerning EM&V and cost effectiveness for customer programs with external stakeholders including presenting testimony before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC)

*Participate in monthly customer program Oversight Board meetings.

* Complete ongoing market research to stay abreast of industry benefit/cost analysis and EM&V best practices

* Coordinate Market Potential Study work for DSM and Electrification which occurs every three years in conjunction with the AES Indiana IRP

*Coordinate DSM and electrification integration into Company's IRP which occurs every three years
