Description

As a Transmission Planning Engineer, you will be providing support for outages, load profiling, and modeling, as well as future upgrades and justifications. Our team is known for our reliability, collaboration daily, implementation of new standards, and growing at an exponential rate. We have been around for almost 100 years, building our systems in the process and containing four utilities under one organization, which is RARE!

*This position will be filled as an Engineer III, IV, or V depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Job Type: *Engineering/Engineering SupportPay Ranges:*

  • Engineer III: $94,099 to $117,624

  • Engineer IV: $113,859 to $142,313

  • Engineer V: $125,278 to $156,603

What will it take to be successful in this position?

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required for this position, with a Power Systems specialization preferred

  • Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desired

  • Prefer seven or more years of experience within the energy industry and rich knowledge and experience in transmission planning.

  • Experience using modeling applications such as Siemens PSS®E, TARA, and PowerWorld

  • Experience working with an RTO or ISO is desired
