AltaGas - Senior Representative, Butane Marketing (LPG / NGL Trader)
Our Butane Marketing team is looking for a Senior Marketing Representative to join the group to enhance our North America Butane marketing sales portfolio. Reporting to the Director, Butane Marketing, you will be joining a team that is focused on providing exceptional service to our current customers, adding new customers to drive further growth, and collaborating successfully with other groups in the company. This person will require strong interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
You will:

Maintain an unrelenting focus on our customers and partners

Build new customer relationships and grow key relationships with our strategic customers

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new business opportunities

Liaise with various internal and external groups

Work with a high performing team of marketers, analysts, and schedulers

Maintain a strong understanding of current news and events that affect LPGs/NGLs and their potential impacts on our business, and specifically as it applies to butane
-
Work with the team members to manage all routine day to day inquiries

Work collaboratively with AltaGas' commercial suite to identify, evaluate, and execute innovative solutions for our customers while increasing margins

Work with internal stakeholders such as Logistics, Trading, Finance, and Operations to optimize and reduce operating costs, execute hedges, and ensuring accurate invoicing and reporting.

Work jointly with the Supply & Export teams to purchase and optimize butane supply

Oversee physical butane distribution planning (rail, pipe, truck) and execution for sales and balancing with counterparties

Promote the commercial butane marketing business to existing and new customers across North America

Assure commodity price and risk management requirements are understood and addressed

Maintain high levels of communication (virtually and in-person) with our key customers to ensure their needs are satisfied and to help promote future business

LPG / NGL Trader
You have:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Engineering required

8+ Years of relevant experience in LPG marketing required

Butane Marketing experience is strongly preferred preferred
-
Strong attention to detail, proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet critical deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

Experience with Allegro ETRM would be an asset

Superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
-
Motivated individual able to contribute both individually and as a team player with multiple priorities and tasks in a face paced environment
