This position requires routine, daily travel to member cooperatives, some of which start early in the morning, before what is considered the normal work day! Overnight travel is to be expected. Some heavy lifting and physical excursion are normal activities of this position.

Candidates should possess a good working knowledge of the complete electrical distribution system. A background as a journeyman lineman is preferred but not required. A good working knowledge of OSHA 1910.269 is a plus and the candidate should possess good public speaking skills as well as being proficient with Microsoft office suite. Creating and using power point presentations is a must.
All the AIEC’s safety/training personnel hold their Certified Loss Control Professional (CLCP) designation. Attaining/holding this designation would be expected. This position is also required to instruct CPR/AED/First Aid, Flagger and Forklift. If not already obtained, these certifications would be expected as well.
