Description
Mi-Tech is a diverse pipe inspection contractor in the Midwest and we have a current opening for a Locate Technician. We use sophisticated equipment, including remote-controlled cameras with front- and rear-facing lenses and lights as well as push cameras, to quickly and conveniently complete inspections from the street level or customer site. We produce useful, detailed and industry-required reports in a variety of formats to provide customers with peace of mind without the inconvenience.
Job Duties:
- Assist in locating sewer laterals using a portable electronic signal device
- Help to mark paths and depths of pipe with paint or flags on residential and commercial properties
- Communicate with homeowners about entry into their homes
- General labor
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Requirements:
- No specific industry experience required, paid on-the-job training!
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude is a plus
- Lift up to 15 lbs.
- Travel throughout the Midwest
- Demonstrated professionalism in verbal and written communication
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail-orientated and multi-tasking skills
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Valid driver's license, Class A or B commercial driver's license a plus
