Description
The Graphic Designer/Artist is responsible for creating and designing presentation materials in a variety of media that have a high visual impact.   You will be based in our Calgary office, but will have the opportunity to work on projects across the globe.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and format layout of presentation materials that includes reports, proposals, videos, mailers, brochures, advertisements, banners, presentations and ideas using Infographics, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, PowerPoint, etc.;
  • Work closely with engineers, technical designers, and marketing staff to develop creative ideas, concepts, and unique graphics to effectively meet presentation objectives and appeal to viewers;
  • Demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches, taking an idea from concept to reality;
  • Develop polished layouts ready for print;
  • Pitch ideas to engineering, design, management, marketing and/or proposal teams;
  • Manage in-house printing and outside print vendors;
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in appropriate professional societies
Requirements

   Passion and enthusiasm for artistic design, with a distinctive creative flair;

  • Demonstrated experience using a variety of software and presentation media;
  • Excellent listening and communications skills in order to share and present ideas to clients and colleagues;
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks;
  • Flexible and open to feedback and requests for design changes;
  • High energy, positive team attitude;
  • 5-8 years as a graphic designer/artist for a variety presentation materials;
  • Attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of tasks and end product;
  • Ability to accurately estimate the time required to complete work projects and deliver on time;
  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry a plus;
  • Portfolio of work required.
