Description
The Warehouse Person issues the materials assigned to the warehouse. This position is responsible for inventory control, storing materials after they are received and restocking reusable material.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Physically identifies, reviews, and inspects all incoming material to support inventory control and the physical receiving function of the warehouse.
- Ability to load and unload trucks, trailers, vans, storage racks, and stacks, sorts and palletizes materials as required.
- Documents, stocks, issues, receipts, and returns of material to support warehouse operations.
- Performs order picking and stocking of material to support issue requirements and warehouse activities
- Packages materials and performs pick-ups and deliveries as required
- Supports physical inventory requirements as required
- Performs basic labor and housekeeping tasks
- Performs specialized tasks of assembling, kitting, disassembling, reclaiming and restocking of materials as needed
- Operate vehicles such as truck and trailer combinations, pickups, cars, general line equipment and forklifts
- May be required to assist field operations as needed
- Perform material and equipment deliveries to field personnel as requested
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to read, write legibly and distinguish color codes
- Physically able to lift and carry heavy weights, within the scope of safe work practices
- Must be familiar with electric materials used in construction
- Make basic mathematical computations
- Operate job-related office equipment (e.g. personal computers, copier and faxes)
- Must have computer skills (MS Word, Outlook)
- Must become proficient in Oracle
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Must have or become forklift qualified
- May be required to perform an operational, maintenance and or emergency function. Such function may be in a safety sensitive role during the course of the calendar year.
- Will take daily direction of assignments from Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Lead.
- Must follow and observed good work safety practices per company policies and procedures
