Silver Spring Networks is looking for a Analyst to join our team in San Diego. In this role, you will manage one or more customer facing Operations Optimizer projects. You will also be responsible for creating new customer offerings and/or developing new analytics. In this position, you will play a key role in providing actionable data insights to our customers. This is the ideal position for someone with a math, engineering, data science, or physics background who is interested in using data to solve problems.
What will you be responsible for, exactly?
- Manage one or more projects ensuring on-time delivery and high customer satisfaction
- Be an expert on Operations Optimizer data, algorithms and configurability
- Assist and/or train customers on the use of Operations Optimizer
- Develop new algorithms based on customer input
A qualified candidate will demonstrate:
- A self-starter attitude and have minimal need for outside motivation
- A desire to solve open ended or loosely specified problems
- The ability to listen to customer requests and turn those requests into software tools
- A curiosity about data and what might be done with it
What you've got to bring to the table:
- BS/BA degree in Math, Physics, Engineering or Data Science or equivalent experience
- Competency with SQL is preferred but not required
- This position involves customer interaction - people skills are a must
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
