We are currently seeking a self-motivated and team-oriented individual for the position of Corrosion Technician III / Team Lead to work out of our Houston, TX office. The Corrosion Technician III / Team Lead will report to the Manager of Corrosion Mitigation Services and work with other team members. This position will serve in a key role to improve the overall effectiveness, technology, and customer satisfaction and will focus on identifying opportunities where TRC can assist clients with full-service Integrity Management Program offerings. The incumbent is envisioned to have primary responsibility as they relate to cathodic protection (CP), CP survey methodologies, direct assessment (DA), and non-destructive testing/examination (NDT/NDE). The candidate may also be asked to perform work within the group which are outside the primary tasks. Having experience in the areas of internal corrosion and metallurgy is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for supporting our pipeline clients with various pipeline safety program consulting/contracting needs ranging from regulatory compliance to corrosion management. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
· Ability to provide input and solve difficult/specialized technical issues that require an extensive knowledge related to technical/functional project field.
· Ability to find solutions derived from available resources provided internally and/or externally, including policies and procedures.
· Technical expertise in corrosion demonstrated by NACE Certification and experience.

Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, related field of scientific study, or equivalent relevant technical experience.
· NACE Cathodic Protection Level 2 Certification required. This is a MUST for consideration
· 5 or more years of experience integrity management.
· Previous pipeline industry experience is preferred, but not required.
· Must be able to pass specific CP OQs for CIS, DCVG, PCM and Soil Resistivity through Veriforce, MEA, ITS and NCCER OQ programs.
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
· Strong technical writing skills.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.).
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be a self-motivated, team-oriented collaborator.
· Occasional travel may be required (up to 75%).
