Primary Purpose
Serves a pivotal role in shaping Sempra's culture by spearheading initiatives that enhance leadership capabilities, strengthens talent pipelines, and fosters a culture of continuous learning and development. Collaborates closely with HR and business leaders to craft tailored development programs that address specific needs and drive organizational excellence. Embraces and demonstrates a commitment to personal development as a role model for employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports talent review and succession planning process including coordinating enterprise-wide strategy, schedule, and system enhancement process. Updates candidate profiles, monitors and customizes candidate development plans and develops succession plans.
  • Designs and delivers engaging and impactful training programs on a variety of topics, including leadership development, communication, teamwork, change management, and more.
  • Coordination of executive/employee training programs delivered by external facilitators as well as re-design or modify existing programs to meet changing conditions or audiences.
  • Conducts organizational assessments (360 degree assessments, feedback) to identify areas for improvement in organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and leadership capabilities.
  • Facilitates special programs and projects as requested to positively affect organizational culture and enhances organizational development offerings.
  • Responsible for maintaining the internal Organizational Development website by updating content and adding resources.
  • Works with outside vendors to improve systems, develops training curriculum, and negotiates contracts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources, related field or equivalent experience, required.
  • Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, preferred.

Experience

  • 3 years of related experience, required.
  • Experience and/or certifications for personal work styles and skills assessment tools, required.

  • Maintains an executive presence and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Individual coaching skills.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
  • We offer a hybrid work environment.  Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow you to work from the office three days per week and work remotely on the remaining workdays.
