Summary

The Training Analyst supports the analysis, design, and implementation of training programs and other learning solutions within a growing electric power and water utility company. This role collaborates with program managers and subject matter experts company-wide to design and support various training initiatives, from regulatory requirements to human resources and corporate objectives. The training analyst will play an active role supporting enterprise training programs to include instructional design, eLearning content development, providing training needs analysis subject matter expertise, and training project management. This role involves interaction with all employee levels and various community and educational resources in an advisory capacity.

What You'll Do

    Perform instructional design and eLearning content development and support using Articulate Storyline, Ancile uPerform, and other development software.
    Design innovative and sustainable learning solutions and advocate for the best user experience in collaboration with subject matter experts.
    Partner with program managers and others to implement ways to measure the effectiveness of learning solutions and achieve measurable learning impacts. 
    Support and maintain learning and multimedia objects using learning management system and content management system tools.
    Lead the gathering of strategic insights, guiding user-centered learning solution designs from concept to execution.
    Develop standards, guidelines, templates, checklists, and assessments for proposed learning solutions.
    Analyze and evaluate existing learning content to assure standards compliance, quality, and effectiveness.
    Transform ideas into creative learning solutions that span personas, journey maps, and devices across the SRP IT ecosystem. 
    Identify new ways of working to continuously improve the enterprise learning framework, propose, and coordinate solutions. 
    Maintain continuous communication and reporting for enhanced visibility across the business on current projects and future needs. 
    Serve as a liaison between learning solution vendors and the business to keep up on technology improvements and continuously seek new ways to gain additional value from learning systems and content.  
    Lead the development and administration of documentation for learning programs, systems, and designs. 

What It Takes To Succeed

    Articulate Storyline experience is required. 
    Prior experience working in SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS) is preferred.
    Prior experience in MS Office with advanced Excel skills is preferred. 
    Must have a sense of urgency in both action and communication. 
    Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory application. 
    Strong organizational/planning and project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with high attention to detail. 
    Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization. 
    Capable of working with others to develop innovative but practical solutions, approaches, and insights. 
    Ability to create documentation that clearly demonstrates information to a wide audience.  
    Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive data and information. 
    Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing tasks and priorities.  

Experience

Minimum of two (2) years' experience in instructional design, eLearning content development, or training and development is required. Will consider other related roles in learning and development, training project management, or technical writing.
 
This is a multi-level position. Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years' experience at Level 1; demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor.  Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of three years' experience at Level 2; is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.
