Description
he Business Consultant plays a crucial role in Sales & Business Development for Honeywell's Building Solutions business unit. As a representative for our solutions and product offerings in domains in (HVAC, Fire Alarm, Security, CCTV, Card Access) Solutioning, your expertise in Project Bids/Tenders and whole-solution offering will be looked upon to bring the business unit to another level.
You will be working in a collaborative environment with Account Managers, Product & Engineering Teams to leverage on delivering industry standard solutions and to establish and further add to Honeywell's positioning in the market.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sales activities and long term relationship management for Building Management Solutions
- Customer development - Order intake to budgeted level of booking, gross margin and acceptable risk
- Understanding of key processes, economic drivers in order to develop valued customer partnership in control and business solutions
- System and consulting knowledge applicable to vertical markets
- Sales of service products to Industrial Accounts ranging from software support, life cycle asset management programmes, technology upgrades and preventative and comprehensive contracts
- Strategic and day to day account management of key accounts
- Business improvement, achieving aggressive productivity targets. Be the champion of sales processes and disciplines.
- Preparation and maintenance of active medium term account plans
- Act as industry spokesperson and figurehead in order to promote Honeywell's Brand and capability
- Aggressively deploy new business initiatives
Account (New & Existing) Development
- Consult/investigate key business opportunities with range of customer contacts
- Product solutions design and planning with internal resources and supplier contacts
- Proposal Generation
- Develop methods presentations, engineer means
- Research/Network
- Activity development follow, anticipate trends
- Reporting/Maintenance
- Team and Self Development
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Sales, Business Development
- 3 to 5 years of experience with HVAC, Fire Safety/Alarm Systems and/or Security Systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good rapport and network with Clients & Subcontractors
- Good communication skills
- Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
