Job Summary

Locations: Stanton, TN

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Plant Manager and other site employees within the newly constructed Central Utility Plant located at Ford's Blue Oval City complex. Work is performed under direct supervision of the Plant Manager while having a matrixed reporting relationship to a Senior Administrative Assistant. Performance is reviewed against an established set of goals and Company policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides general administrative support to the plant team
  • Maintains records and files for the plant including documentation associated with purchasing, operations, and correspondence
  • Reviews and verifies employee timesheets for accuracy, as well as entering time via SAP, and creating time evaluation reports
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and updating of operations and maintenance programs and data
  • Assists in the preparation of training sessions, safety committee meetings, and other meetings as necessary
  • Interfaces with suppliers and vendors regarding requests for quotes, purchase orders and invoicing
  • Understands and utilizes DTE Vantage Administrative Guidelines and ensures plant compliance
  • Maintains a safe working environment, including good housekeeping practices
  • Participates in assigned continuous improvement efforts as directed
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Five or more years of administrative experience
     

Other Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of corporate policies including expense reporting, travel, and cellular phone programs.
  • Experience with SAP would be considered a plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency in business correspondence, spelling, grammar, and basic accounting
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and intranet/internet research and departmental database management

  • A valid driver's license will be required at certain locations
  • Ability to efficiently handle competing priorities and tasks, remain organized and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, coworkers, management, and the general public
  • Ability to establish goals, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with a welcoming, cooperative, and supportive demeanor
